| These stones were inherited from a different source. I like to think his spirit glimmers sometimes in the amazing slice of rock that's pictured at the top of this page. As you can see, I'm keeping a variety of rough and polished pieces. Some of the agates are barely visible inside their shells. These make excellent palm-held meditation aids. I sometimes rub them along the soles of my feet as well. Botswana agates help us accept ourselves in a realistic and compassionate way. They help us manifest our special gifts with humility and well-grounded intentions. Although the polished variations can be mesmerizing, I actually prefer the unpolished stones, especially if I'm trying to make sustained progress and change with my self-relationship. Remember: journey's don't just start with a single step ... they start at home/with-in. |

| above: one of my favorite hand-held friends. I find great comfort and wisdom from this ally - often when I'm missing my departed friend who left me this collection. |
