GLORIOUS RE-EMERGENCE

The flowers on this page have asked to be photographed at different stages of their life
process.  Intended for my students' visual benefit, I hope everyone else will also enjoy the
floral time-lines.  Pictured on this page: Sweet Cicely.  I first grew this plant five years ago.
 The original plant has surrounded itself with a large colony.  The one I chose to
photograph was the smallest plant because I knew its size would mushroom.  Now some
other colony members have begun to bloom although not this plant or the original
Grandmother.  I recommend growing this plant in a cool shaded spot because it looks
lovely and requires no maintenance beyond sufficient water at the deep root level.  The
blooms are dramatic and sweet scented.   The dried seed head provide visual interest as
well as the makings of your own thriving colony ...
