note:  new visitors to Sparkling Lotus-land often ask why there
isn't a greater number of photographic portraits. The 2004
growing season (approximately two full years after the garden
beds became geographically unsuitable for essence
preparation) marks the first time in nine years when I received a
green light for taking pictures.   Nonetheless as midsummer
and the ongoing height of the growing season approached,
photographs were once again forbidden.   This proves the
importance of listening to the needs of our attendant
co-creative allies even when the presumed healing purpose of
shared endeavor has transmutated into something far less
concrete and thus, potentially difficult to define.
