November 22nd -- One of the personal lessons I have learned from
JP in these past months relates to grace within physical limitation
forming a healing alliance with grace under pressure. So I look
beyond the obvious 'failure' to post detailed updates on a weekly
basis. It's much more important to look at the SUCCESS of the
project and what it's been able to provide to Jeannine and her two
youngest children.
I began this project in a spirit of fierce protective loyalty. I was also
so energetically infused with cosmic flow that I acted in the spirit of
optimism that might have seemed initially cockeyed. I bought three
rolls of raffle tickets before the center medallion's debut at WHC. I
also set a certain monetary goal in my head concerning what it
would take for this project to feel like a personal success.
This past week, I began using a sizeable portion of the third roll of
tickets. I totalled numbers that made it PRAGMATICALLY clear
that my effort of unqualified Karma Yoga had met my goals. Maybe
in the final tally it will even have exceeded my admittedly wild
dreams. The best aspect of this project isn't actually it's monetary
success. It's having a globalized love-of-Jeannine CONFIRMED
through the many letters of gratitude and the ongoing energetic
flow of loving intentions for her that pass through my prayer altar at
a rate that's intensely gratifying and humbling. It has been an
HONOR to serve Jeannine and her family but it's also been a very
practical lesson as well. Just as JP has dedicated her life to
certain principles of Truth ... I have done my best to do the same in
my individual Way. For everything of JP's belief system that this
quilt articulates, there is an underlying articulation of my own belief
system as it has made itself immanently clear through the healing
power and loving magnitude that was created by the benefit
project's overall energy flow.

October 25, 2004 --- The latest delay in posting an update related
to my getting the quilt ready to for an audience with JP herself
upon her arrival in NYC on October 22! Both Jeannine and her
daughter Halley enjoyed their inspection of the work in progress.
It's reaching it's full size now, so I'll soon be working on the back of
the quilt. In another month I'll be calling or e-mailing one of you to
say GUESS WHAT? She's your beauty now!!
This past Saturday I was able to sell a few raffle tickets at the Art of
Birthing conference. I also had a chance to meet a few people who
already had tickets! Everyone's admiration of the project and their
personal good wishes was an unexpected fulfillment. More
fulfilling, of course, was JP's direct interaction with the quilt as well
as her wonderful hugs!
As soon as the weather cooperates I'll have some new
pictures posted.

October 4, 2004 - Sorry we didn't get an entry posted last week.
The weather was too lousy for picture taking but now you can see
details from the first two completed Yoni Goddesses. Also note
JP's left footprint on the main PPQP page. A fresh batch of
inquiries and donations have made a nice start to the week.
9/22 - HAPPY EQUINOX EVERYBODY!!! The PPQP reached
France this week and also a point of showing continued benefit on
JP's end. Since we began we've helped on the day the mortgage
was due and also on a day when she and her children were able to
indulge in "luxury groceries" as a result. Their nourishment can
have been no sweeter than our loving provision of the opportunity!
I know everyone who loves JP will share in my happiness and
reciprocal gratitude to have this collective experience of making a
healing and supportive difference in her recuperation process!
New pics may be available before next Wednesday. I am currently
working on transforming JP's left footprint into the anchor block that
will join the Eternal Yoni Goddess at the bottom of the quilt with the
Goddess of Yoni Integrity that runs along the left hand side. I am
also selecting fabric for the next big pomegranate. It will contain
the Goddess of Yoni of Embodiment and run along the right hand
side of the central medallion. JP's right footprint will anchor this
side with the bottom of the quilt.
9/15 Things are moving along very nicely with creativity flow and
promotional outreach. Money has begun to reach its destination in
JP's mailbox. We're steadily amassing prizes for second and
maybe even third place winning tickets! Next week, I'll begin listing
the prizes we've collected so far. Sometime over the weekend I'm
going to update the Quiltmaker's Eyes feature so remember to
check back if you're enjoying following along with the growing
symbolic mythology of Parvati's Paradise. Indeed, remember to

PPQP is becoming far more than a web page -- it's becoming its
very own subdirectory!
the other big news of the week is :::drumroll::: the arrival of THE
RELICS from JP. I now have her hand and foot prints to work into
the design of the four cornerstone blocks of the growing 18inch
border that is currently rocking my subversive stitching world! You
will see two pics above that reveal some details-in-progress of that
border. The freebirthed pomegranates are approximately 16
inches each with a centered 12 inch drawing-down-the-moon
goddess reverse appliqued into place. Also received: 49 tiny
stones collected personally by JP and Halley with this quilt and its
evolutionary healing purposes in mind! The stones have been
divided into tiny medicine bundles with seven stones in each
packet. They will be used in a way that will be explained once I
update the Quiltmaker's Eye.
9/8/04 The benefit raffle outreach efforts have made a strong &
positive connection in Australia. Huge thanks to SARAH
BUCKLEY for sending us towards the quilt's third week of life with
a sense of sustained achievement! By rough calculations there
has been another $200-275 raised but we'll have to see what the
next few weeks bring to JP's mailbox to get the final verification.
Thanks to all those who have written to me about your interest in
the quilt and this benefit raffle. The four additional pomegranates
have been added to the diamonds (see pic on the main page) and
a thin border applied to this central medallion. The next border is
18 inches and features four mini-medallions of much larger
pomegranates. It's a lot of fun to inter-weave what I know about
traditional creation quilt symbology with the emergent gnosis of
Parvati's Paradise. And my existing knowledge of color therapy is
having quite a day at the experiential races, as well.
