01/08:  Why is it such a struggle for members of our species to
find Common Ground?  We all stand upon it, Our Mother, for
nearly every moment of our lives!   Why must it be an
unshakable paradigm that our points of difference, and the
boundaries they create, are more solid and lasting than our
points of very obvious organic commonality?

What allows people to imagine they prosper at the expense of

any other
human being?  How can we cope with living in a
world of illusion that is rapidly ripping apart at the seams?
How can it be that previously known and beloved structures are
collapsing right at the time when we think we need them most?

WHY ARE WE SO AFRAID OF THE VERY CHANGES WE
WISH FOR MOST FERVENTLY?

I'm objecting to how easy it is to slip into deeper and deeper
grooves of pettiness.  Nothing we see in our cultural paradigms
suggests a need to develop and sustain the things our hearts
and souls know to be of primary and fundamental value.   I'm
also objecting to mediocrity of character and spirit.

Until next time ...
