This little jade collection has been amassed in the years
since I first unpacked the cartons full of my mother's crystals.
The healing properties of the stone have always been
appealing to me. For a long time I kept a jade ring that was
given to me at menarche as a symbol of budding wisdom
among the natural kingdoms.
pictured above is a nephrite healing disc and smaller piece
of yellow jade. The darker slice came from a jewelry
maker's cast-off pile. The carved frog is from Mexico. All
make excellent bathing companions.
